Play Spades Online: Pick Your 2v2 Table

Spades needs four players in two teams, but not all four have to be people. Play Spades online against real people in public 2v2 matchmaking, open a private room for friends, team up against AI or take on a table of bots. Or press Play now below and be dealt in right here, no account needed.

Find players, with bot fallback · 4 players

Join the players already waiting for a four-seat partnership game. If not enough people turn up, bots take the empty seats, so you never sit staring at an empty lobby. The queue does not promise opponents of a similar rank; once the table is full, a short countdown starts the deal.

Play vs AI

No queue, no waiting · 1 player

Three bots, no queue, and nobody sighing at a reckless nil: the place to practise bids, bags and nil. As a guest nothing is saved and no profile rewards are earned; signed in, the match uses the entry cost and progression shown for the selected mode.

2v2 Team vs AI

You and a partner · 2 players

Bring one person and let AI take the other two seats. The same partnership spades as the online queue — sit opposite, combine bids, cover each other's nil — without needing four people free at once.

Completed matches played with an account can award XP, coins and LP: +20 LP for a win and −16 for a loss, with LP floored at zero. Guest practice saves no results and awards no profile rewards. Check the selected mode’s entry cost before joining.

Questions

Spades Modes, Answered

Do games against bots count towards my rank?

Yes, when you finish a supported match while signed in. A win adds 20 LP and a loss subtracts 16, with a minimum of zero LP. Guest practice and solo practice do not award profile XP or LP and do not save match results.

How many players does Spades need?

Four, in two partnerships sitting opposite each other. The modes differ only in how many of those four seats are people: four in the online queue, two in a team match against AI, one when you play the bots.

Can I play Spades with just one friend?

Yes. 2v2 Team vs AI puts the two of you on the same side and gives the opposing pair to the bots. A private friends room works too if you would rather set the table up yourself.

Do I need an account to play Spades here?

Not to practise. Press Play now at the top of this page and you sit down as a guest at a table with three bots right away; nothing from that game is saved. Playing people online, coins and rank need a free account, which takes a minute with email, Google or Facebook.

Is there a 1v1 Spades mode?

Yes, as a game of its own. Spades Duel takes the partnership out and puts you head to head, with its own rules and its own queue.

Does any of it cost money?

No. Every mode is free, there is no real-money play, and a new account starts with 100,000 virtual coins.
