Play Spades Online vs Computer
Play Spades against the computer in your browser: press Play now for a bot table, no account needed, and learn bidding, following suit and bags first.
Playing Spades against the computer is the quickest way to learn how a hand flows. Press Play now at the top of this page and you sit down at once, as a guest, with a bot partner and two bot opponents, no account needed. Signed-in players can also choose Play vs Bots in the Spades lobby, where the mode’s virtual coin entry amount is shown before you start. Either way you need an internet connection, because the bots play on the server.
Use Your First Match to Learn the Turn Order
Each player receives 13 cards and makes a bid. During play you must follow the led suit when you can; when you cannot, a spade can trump the trick. Watch which cards the table lets you play, and after each trick check whether the winner is the one you expected. Bots never get tired of you asking.
Practice One Skill at a Time
For bidding practice, count your likely winners before you submit a bid, then compare that estimate with the tricks you actually took when the hand ends. Remember that an ace can be trumped by a player who is void in its suit, and a king without company may fall to the ace.
For bag control, keep an eye on the team contract and the tricks already won. Extra tricks add a point each at first, then build toward a penalty. Once your team has enough, try holding on to the low cards that let you duck the next trick.
Moving from Bots to People
Bots are great for rules and repetition, but they do not play like every human at the table. In online games, watch what your partner actually does instead of expecting the habits you saw in practice. When a result surprises you, the rules and scoring guides will settle it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play against bots without an account?
Yes. Press Play now at the top of this page, or choose Play vs Bots in the lobby, and you get a guest seat while one is free. If every guest table is busy, you are asked to sign in instead.
Does bot mode work offline?
No. The bots play on the game server, so you need an internet connection.
Will bot practice prepare me for ranked?
It teaches you the rules and the timing. Ranked opponents can behave very differently, so get comfortable with partnership play and scoring before joining the ranked queue.
