Yacht Dice is the classic five-dice scoring game, and the name is no accident: the most important ancestor of Yahtzee is an older dice game called Yacht. Here you fill your own 13-turn scorecard, and every turn asks the same question: take the useful result in front of you, or roll again for something better? Press Play now at the top of the page to play solo right here, no account needed. Online matches against bots or players need a free account.

How to play
- Roll up to three times per turn. Tap dice to hold them between rolls.
- Choose one available category after any roll. Each category can be used only once, including when it scores zero.
- The upper section counts matching faces. Reach 63 points there to receive a 35-point bonus.
- A full house scores 25, a small straight 30, a large straight 40 and five equal dice in the Yacht box 50. Chance scores the sum of all dice.
Example
Roll 3, 3, 3, 6, 6 and several boxes want it: the full house is worth 25, threes 9 and chance 21. The biggest number is not automatically the right choice; it depends on which boxes you still have open.
Playing tip
Keep one eye on the upper bonus instead of grabbing the biggest score every turn: modest entries in the upper section add up to more than they look. The suggestion on screen is only a hint; you decide which open box to fill.

Frequently asked questions
How can I play free Yacht Dice here?
Press Play now at the top of this page and your own scorecard opens right here, with no download and no account. To compete online, sign in with a free account and choose an online mode. Online matches use virtual entry coins shown in the lobby; new accounts get starter coins, and a free daily reward keeps you playing.
What happens if no category suits my dice?
Pick an unused category even if it scores zero. You cannot skip filling the scorecard or reuse a filled box. For example, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 scores 30 as a small straight but zero as a full house.
Can I change a filled category?
No. Once a score is written down, it stays for the rest of the game. Start a new game for a fresh scorecard.
Is this a live multiplayer match?
Only if you want one. The game menu offers solo practice or an online match; solo practice needs no opponent, and it is what the game at the top of this page starts.
Is Yacht Dice the same as Yahtzee?
It plays the same way: five dice, up to three rolls a turn and thirteen boxes, with the 35-point upper bonus and 50 points for five of a kind. Yahtzee® is a trademark of Hasbro; Yacht Dice on this site is an independent game, not affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro.
