Ranked Spades gives your competitive games a progression of their own. To join, sign in to your free account, open the Spades lobby and choose the ranked mode, after checking your current rank, the queue requirements and the virtual coin entry amount. Want a warm-up first? The game at the top of this page plays against bots with no account and no effect on your rank.
Ranked Progress and Account Progress
Rank and LP measure competitive progress. XP, levels and titles are a separate kind of account progression. The ranked progress page lists the current tiers and divisions, and the result shown after each match tells you what changed.
Do not expect a fixed LP gain for every win, and do not expect a bot practice match to move your competitive rank. When you mean to play ranked, use the dedicated ranked queue.
Bid for the Score You Need
A bid you can make is worth more than an ambitious one you cannot. Count your likely winners, weigh your partner’s bid and check the total around the table: if the bids add up to more tricks than exist, at least one contract is going to fail.
Near a target score, protecting your contract can matter more than chasing extra tricks. Check how many bags you are carrying before you take an optional trick, and bid nil because the hand supports it, not as an automatic comeback attempt.
Finish the Match
Join the queue when you can stay connected to the end. A partnership only works when both players take their turns, so keep the tab active, use a stable connection, and look over the finished match result before starting another. If a rule is new to you, try it against bots first.
